Description
The SMG666 is a smart gateway that links an inverter over RS485 to a LoRa wireless network. Its RS485 downlink supports baud rates of 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 and 19200 bps, with 8 data bits and selectable no, odd or even parity. The LoRa uplink operates in the 398 to 525 MHz range, with a factory default of 470 MHz.
The device runs in AP (master) or STA (slave) working mode. In the documented setup, the AP is connected to the inverter and the STA is connected to the electricity meter, and both units are powered on after wiring. The manual describes indicator LEDs for RS485 communication status and AP/STA connection status.
Power input is 85 to 265 VAC, with power dissipation of 1.5 W or less (8 VA or less). The specified operating temperature range is -10 to 45 °C, with a limit range of -20 to 60 °C and a storage range of -40 to 85 °C. Relative humidity is rated at 5 to 95% RH, and the altitude rating is 2000 m or less.
