The connector dimensions 7.0 mm and 8.8 mm have to do with the outer diameter of a cable. For the 4 mm² cable the outside diameter is 7.0 mm and for the 6 mm² cable the outside diameter is 6.8 mm.

MC4 female connectors are single-contact electrical connectors. MC4 female connectors are the standard in the solar energy market today and have been used on almost all solar panels since 2011.

MC in MC4 female stands for Multi-Contact, nowadays known as Stäubli Electrical Connectors. The 4 stands for the 4mm diameter of the contact pin. The convenience of MC4 female connectors lies in manual coupling. This is very easy thanks to the snap-in-lock design, in other words an integrated plug-in connector. It is ideal for connecting solar panels in a string.

Please note! 1 bag contains 100 pieces.

Technical properties

Suitable for the 4 mm² and 6 mm² Athilex solar cables

Series MC4 female connectors, female

Connector has one pole with one connection per pole

Rated measuring voltage: 1000 V

Rated measuring current: 39 A

Cable outer diameter: 7.0 - 8.8 mm

Connection cross-section: 4 - 6 mm²

Degree of protection: IP65

Overvoltage category: CATIII / 3

Safety class: II

Contact system: MULTILAM

Contact material: Copper, tin-plated

Advantages when using Stäubli cable couplings

Snap-in-lock

In accordance with NEC 2014, an opening tool requires

Proven MULTILAM technology with high long-term stability, ensuring consistently low performance loss over the entire service life of the plug connector.

Proven plug-in connections, more than 15 years of experience in the field

Compatibility with the MC4 female connector family

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0626/8777/2837/files/1793022061430_image_385d42c5-42fb-4135-b190-08094582c9ea.jpg?v=1793078470
